NCI CARNIVAL DAY AND PARADE

NCI Parade day is a family fun day and everyone is welcome to attend the day free. Participants are invited to come have an exciting time with the sight and sound of the cultural parade. The parade showcases unique costumes from various groups and cultures, drumming sound that is bound to reach you where you’re at and amazing dance moves that keep the float moving from beginning till end.

NCI features performances and displays by various cultural troupes from different ethnicity within and outside Ireland. songs and other cultural values from around the world.

From the makeup application, costume layout and ensemble, to line up for take off, the NCI Parade is a colourful display of weeks of hard work and strategic planning.

Children are not left out as the NCI CHILDREN’s VILLAGE features stories told in the ‘tales by moonlight’ fashion. They can have Ice-Cream, freshly made Candy Floss, Popcorn, Slush, Cake and also enjoy Face Painting, drumming workshop, dances Workshop, Arts and Crafts etc.

The NCI Carnival Parade is our pride and Joy. Since its inclusion into the festival in 2014, the parade has become a major feature of NCI. Groups, organisations, communities, youths, children and even individuals take part in this fun-filled parade, showcasing their music, dance, costume, and skills.

The NCI parade is an opportunity for participants to celebrate their culture, heritage, and group with a freedom to positively express who they are.
